Princeton vs. Arkansas, 1990 NCAA Tournament.

If I remember correctly (and I usually do), only the second half of this game was shown to the majority of the nation, so many of these plays are being seen for the first time unless you were in Austin that evening two decades ago. A great find.

Doug Davis & Kit Mueller team up in DelCo Pro-Am.

Video streaming by Ustream

Had a nice dinner with the family, sat down on the couch to do some non-basketball work while my daughter drifted off and discovered that there was streaming live video of current Tiger Douglas Davis (#2) and Princeton great Kit Mueller (#20) teaming up for Stomp Off against former Syracuse star Hakim Warrick and Friends Central Alumni in the second day of the Delaware County Pro-Am.

So much for my productivity.

An incomplete archive of this just-finished game is above. From what I saw, Davis played real well and Mueller is as crafty as ever in the paint. Watching a posting Mueller set up Davis outside for three was a treat.

The stream cuts out with five minutes to go and the game even at 60. According to the DelCo Pro-Am web site, despite only suiting up five guys Stomp Off upsets Friends Central by 10.

Thursday News:

Will Venable led off with his first home run of the season as San Diego trumped Boston at Fenway Park, 5-1. The shot to right was Venable's first HR in his last 170 MLB at bats.

In a move likely to place the program under increased scrutiny, Georgetown officially hired Kevin Broadus as John Thompson III's "Special Assistant."

After one season on the bench next to Steve Donahue at Boston College, former Columbia coach Joe Jones is moving across town to take over the head coaching position at Boston University.

YouTube potpourri XXXVIII.

On Friday I hoped that there might be more videos to come from the individual who has been posting short Princeton highlights from the late 1980s. Wish granted!

Above you'll see Bob Scrabis (#34) finding Alan Williams (#24) for a bucket and the foul in the Tigers' 89-70 loss versus Seton Hall at South Mountain Arena early in the 1986-87 season. Mike Harnum (#30), Joe Scott (#4) and John Thompson III (#22) are also on the floor for the orange and black.

Five clips after the jump, including additional black and white Princeton footage, a recruiting video and Will Venable signing autographs.

1986 Princeton basketball video.

The same individual who posted 15 different Princeton basketball clips from the 1980s last year has just uploaded one more.

As best I can tell this play comes from an 89-70 loss at Seton Hall in the second contest of the 1986-87 season. John Thompson III (#22) starts with the ball and passes to who I believe is Dave Orlandini (#21). Thompson drops to the right corner and lobs a pass for Alan Williams (#24).

I am unsure about the identities of the other two players on far side of the floor. One is wearing a single digit so it could certainly be that season's captain, Joe Scott (#4). The other is quite possibly Bob Scrabis (#34). Any guesses?

Clay Wilson at Faith 7.

Footage of the Princeton-bound guard from Saturday night's Faith 7 Bowl. The first :38 seconds are all Wilson highlights. He's wearing #20 representing Oklahoma against a team of Texans.
