In the final 34 seconds of Princeton's victory at Lafayette a number of Tigers saw their first varsity minutes - including Ameer Elbuluk (#12), Edo Lawrence (#33), Issac Serwanga (#25) and Mike Washington Jr. (#13) - so I decided to pick up my camera and film the action.
Not the most scintillating video ever shot but it does commemorate a big moment for four members of the roster.
Fairfield vs. Providence - 7:00 pm ET
Northwestern vs. TCU - 8:30 pm ET - South Padre Island Invt.
Cornell vs. Presbyterian - 4:30 pm ET - Last Vegas Invitational

Good morning. I hope you and yours had a happy Thanksgiving.
Action picks back up tonight with Fairfield visiting Providence and Northwestern playing TCU at the South Padre Island Invitational.
Princeton recruit Steven Cook scored nine points for the Trevians against Loyola at the 2012 New Trier Thanksgiving Tournament.
A sweet pass by future Tiger Spencer Weisz made a Hoop Group video of the Top 10 Plays from Summer 2012.
Is it possible the Georgetown vs. Florida game might be resumed indoors?
Wrapping up coverage of Princeton at Syracuse, the Post-Standard looks at the sunny side of a Orangemen victory while the Auburn Citizen offers some postgame video and the Syracuse Sports Examiner runs a recap.
College basketball recruiting is by no means an exact science. Sometimes those with extra stars shining next to their names don’t see their abilities convert beyond high school. At Princeton there’s a long list of the comparatively unhearlded who have developed from seeming afterthoughts to all-conference players.
With that history understood, it becomes even harder to look 23 months into the future.
Yet on November 20 of this year the Tiger coaching staff can wake up in the morning feeling comfortable about having filled their top priority for the 2014 recruiting class.
Amir Bell of East Brunswick High School may not be a name that has attracted a lot of attention from the top recruiting sites yet but the key word in this sentence is “yet.” Getting Bell committed to the enrollment process at Princeton before he attracted additional attention from bold-faced basketball powerhouses was paramount.
It can not be coincidence that three different members of Mitch Henderson’s staff posted words to the effect of “it is a great day to be a Tiger” on Twitter last night with Bell’s commitment then entering public knowledge less than an hour later.
I had a chance to speak with the 6’4” 170 lb junior point guard’s high school coach Bo Henning on the phone a few hours ago. Quotes from our conversation plus links and videos featuring Bell can all be found after the jump.

So much for a quiet evening! According to Northstar Basketball, 6'3" junior guard Amir Bell from East Brunswick High School just up the road has committed to Princeton over offers from Iona, Northeastern and Fairfield.
Here is additional detail on schools Bell visited and was contacted by.
Bell is the first member of the Tigers' 2014 recruiting class.
As I work to gather information on this breaking news, videos and images of Bell in both high school and AAU action can be found after the jump.
Princeton opens their home slate tomorrow night versus Northeastern and Zolan Kanno-Youngs from WRBB radio was kind enough to tackle our questions about the Huskies for the latest edition of Know! Your! Foe!.
We already have someone lined up to talk Rutgers basketball on Thursday but if you cover any of the other teams the Tigers will be facing in 2012-13, get in touch!

Delayed a week by Hurricane Sandy, Princeton held its annual preseason Media Day at Jadwin Gym this snowy and blustery afternoon.
Coach Mitch Henderson, Ian Hummer, Will Barrett, Hans Brase and T.J. Bray spoke to princetonbasketball.com about the upcoming season. A number of questions raised earlier today were answered along the way.
In both queries asked and answers given this was one of the better Media Days in some time.
25 Robert Solomon photos have since been added to this post, plus some details on a couple of potential roster additions and observations in addition to the audio which follows after the jump.

Serra is the same high school Dan Mavraides attended before taking a post-graduate year at Phillips Exeter Academy.
I've reached out to Caruso's high school coach for quotes and observations but given that we've been without power for 60+ hours now at princetonbasketball HQ, it might be a while.
So, enjoy five different videos in the interim of Caruso after the jump.

Since graduating Princeton in 2008, Matt Sargeant's life was satisfying but not personally fulfilling. Sargeant found working in web development for a successful company lacking, so in the past two years he returned to basketball - first as a trainer at Open Gym in Anaheim and more recently as a coach.
In June, Sargeant was named the head coach of the girls basketball team at Los Alamitos High School, about 15 miles from where he grew up in Huntington Beach, CA.
Tipped by a site member to this career shift, I reached out to Sargeant for an interview. Earlier today we had a chance to discuss the path that took him to his new position leading the Griffins, his unique vision melding two famous basketball styles and how a coaching legend has impacted his life. You can read a transcript combining a pair of phone conversations after the jump.
I have wanted to catch up with Doug Davis ever since he signed professionally back in August with the Walter Tigers but we didn't have a chance to exchange emails until this week.
What follows is a tidied-up version of our correspondence. Davis' team is off to an 0-3 start in the German Bundesliga and the former Princeton standout is averaging 4.0 PPG off the bench, scoring nine points his last time out.
You can track his complete season statistics here.
princetonbasketball.com was founded on April 28th, 1998 in an attempt to provide fans of the Princeton Tigers and Ivy League basketball with the best on-line source for up-to-date news and information. We have since expanded to launch a companion site, Georgetown Basketball News.
As these sites have continued to grow we have increased our coverage to include additional teams with Princeton connections - the Richmond Spiders, Denver Pioneers, Oregon State Beavers, Fairfield Stags and Mercer County Community College Vikings - plus former Tigers playing professional baseball and basketball all over the world. This site is not directly affiliated with the Friends of Princeton Basketball, Princeton University or the Princeton athletic department.
