1996-97 team photo.

A reader was kind enough to scan and send over this photo of the 1996-97 Tigers, a squad that would go 24-3 in the regular season with an unblemished Ivy record before falling 55-52 to Cal in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Front row: Jason Osier, Brian Earl, Alex Karlsen, Sean Gregory, Gabe Lewullis, Phil Belin, Mitch Henderson, J.R. Gillern, Jose Ramirez-Del Toro

Back row: Jim Brenner, Joe Scott, Jay Galloway, Sydney Johnson, James Mastaglio, Steve Goodrich, Jesse Rosenfeld, Nate Walton, Mason Rocca, John McCann, Darren Hite, John Thompson III, Bill Carmody, Mike McDonnell

22% of those pictured have been the head basketball coach at Princeton.

Friday News:

Cornell announced that due to Princeton's exam schedule, the Ivy League opener between the Big Red and the Tigers would be moved up two weeks.

This alteration is not unprecedented but it is also not common over recent seasons. The previous two times Princeton opened conference play before breaking for exams didn't work out well for the Tigers: Swept at Columbia and Cornell in 2007 and a split with Cornell and Columbia at Jadwin in 2006. Prior to that the orange and black bested both Harvard and Dartmouth on the road in January 2002.

Both Northwestern and Richmond have released their full 2011-12 schedules. Spiders head coach Chris Mooney was a recent guest at the Robins School of Business.

Will Venable made two significant plays in San Diego's 3-1 over San Francisco on Wednesday. Venable homered to open the first inning (video) off the head of an oblivious fan in right field and threw out a runner at the plate (video) to end the seventh inning.

Researching the field guide to Tigers in Europe I noticed that Kareem Maddox led his team in scoring during an exhibition and Pawel Buczak tallied 12 in his team's friendly with Dąbrowa Górnicza.

Team captain Mason Rocca shares his thoughts prior to Milano's training camp.

The Hellenic Voice has a story on Dan Mavraides receiving the Harry Agganis Award at the AHEPA Sports Luncheon.

There are quotes from Pete Carril in a recent ESPN piece on Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett.

Columbia has also revealed their complete schedule.

It took longer than expected, but Judson Wallace has finally signed a two year deal with Lega ACB champions Regal FC Barcelona.

With Wallace under contract there are now six former Princeton players suiting up overseas. Want to keep track of all their professional careers in 2011-12? Everything you need is after the jump.

In addition to this site's weekly in-season interviews with John Thompson III, Joe Scott and Sydney Johnson, princetonbasketball.com has produced numerous pieces with former Princeton players over the past decade+.

I believe this is a complete list, but if I'm missing anyone let me know!

Mason Rocca interview.

It has been a decade since Mason Rocca '00 initially began playing professionally in Italy and the former Princeton standout is hosting a basketball camp for the first time this offseason in his adopted homeland.

Running from June 27th to July 1st, the "Study to Win" camp will reunite several former Tigers with the Armani Jeans Milano captain, mixing on-court and in-classroom education.

I had a chance to exchange emails with Mason and catch up before his inaugural camp gets underway. The full interview can be found after the jump.
