No postseason for Princeton.

Brendan Connolly, Mack Darrow and Ian Hummer have played their final games wearing orange and black.

I had begun to suspect as such when I noticed multiple Princeton players saying via social networking that they were going home for Spring Break but it was still somewhat surprising to receive confirmation earlier today that the Tigers' season is officially over and they will not be participating in a postseason tournament.

This ends a run of three straight seasons with a game in either the NCAA or CBI for the Tigers.

Princeton concludes 2012-13 with a 17-11 record, 10-4 in the Ivy League.

This is one of the better Thursdays of the year, basketball-wise. Georgetown looks for a springboard to NCAA Tournament success in the Big East quarterfinals.

At the same time Richmond and Charlotte are tipping at the A-10 Tournament one borough over.

21 win Denver opens WAC Tourney play versus Texas State. Joe Scott is a finalist for the 2013 Hugh Durham National Coach of the Year Award

Northwestern goes up against Iowa at the Big 10 Tournament. The Wildcats could lose their top recruit if Bill Carmody is fired after the season.

The CIT has invited Fairfield to participate and the Stags have accepted this bid.

The Trenton Times has more on Ian Hummer being named Ivy League player of the year and also writes about the lost weekend that cost the Tigers the Ivy title.

As of today Will Barrett still leads the nation in three point percentage.

What allowed Steven Cook and New Trier to hang with Simeon in their Class 4A supersectional?

Oregon State (14-18) was knocked out of the Pac-12 Tournament by Colorado, 74-68.

2012-13 All-Ivy Men's Basketball.

The Ivy League announced its 2012-13 All-Ivy team earlier today. Princeton's Ian Hummer was unanimously named First Team All-Ivy and honored as the conference's Player of the Year.

Junior Tiger guard T.J. Bray was rewarded as Second Team All-Ivy while Denton Koon earned Honorable Mention.

Harvard's Siyani Chambers is unanimously the Rookie of the Year and Brown's Cedric Kuakamensah takes home Defensive Player of the Year.

If this was in fact the end - and it felt more finite afterwards than expected - then at least Princeton' senior class went out on the high note of their seventh win over Penn in eight tries.

In perhaps his final collegiate contest, Ian Hummer scored 10 of his 18 points down the last 9:20 as the Tigers were able to eventually break open a bittersweet regular season finale at The Palestra. A game that saw neither team in front by more than five across the opening 35 minutes fell apart for the Quakers at the close.

T.J. Bray curled behind a Hummer screen for a wing three to make it 56-51 Princeton with 5:04 left and following Tony Hicks' miss of a left baseline jumper guarded well by Chris Clement, Hummer took a Bray feed and glided to his left for a basket as Patrick Lucas-Perry fouled him, the Tiger senior punching the padding surrounding the basket support as he let loose with a scream.

While Lucas-Perry responded with a right side three over Clement, Bray found Hummer again cutting inside. Subsequent to a Miles Cartwright turnover Clement fought off Lucas-Perry on a drive for a nine point margin.

Once Penn fell down by three possessions they made repeated bad decisions with the ball and took ill-advised jumpers.

In addition to Hummer's 18, Bray added 13 plus three assists without a turnover while Will Barrett and Mack Darrow each contributed 11. Darrow (who hit double figures for just the second time this year) and fellow senior Brendan Connolly made the start for Princeton in what could have been the final contest of their respective careers.

It was the first time Darrow, Connolly and Hummer began a game on the floor together.

“We’re happy to send those guys out the right way,” head coach Mitch Henderson said of the senior-fueled victory.

Hicks led Penn with 22 but petered out after a stellar 17 point first half. Shooting 7-9 in the opening 20 minutes, Hicks was 2-10 in the back frame and did not score the final 14:56.

Fairfield (19-15) led Manhattan 16-5 over 11 minutes into the first half of yesterday's MAAC semifinal but could not hold that lead until halftime and were outscored 37-20 by the Jaspers in the back stanza of a 60-42 loss.

Michigan State and valiant Northwestern (13-18) were even with 5:44 left in East Lansing before a 10-0 Spartans run did the Wildcats in.

It was a wonderful Saturday for all other branches of the Carril coaching tree. Georgetown (24-5) took the regular season Big East title with a rivalry-concluding 61-39 triumph over Syracuse. Hoya Prospectus looks at the numbers.

By coming out ahead 64-58 at Colorado, Oregon State (14-17) gets to play the Buffaloes again on Wednesday in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament.

Richmond (18-13) decimated Duquesne in the home regular season finale for the Spiders, 79-55.

You know Denver (21-8) has won 17 of 18 since New Year's Eve, right? The Pioneers routed Louisiana Tech at home 78-54, giving Joe Scott's team a share of the WAC regular season title. There are some great photos of the game here.

It hasn't been pretty but it doesn't need to be. Fairfield (19-14) advanced to the MAAC semifinals with a 43-42 win over second seed Rider.

The regular season ends for Northwestern at Michigan State.

Around the Ivy League: Harvard (18-9 / 10-3) took the conference title with a 65-56 decision over Cornell (13-18 / 5-9). Yale (14-17 / 8-6) earned third place in the Ancient Eight, topping Penn (9-21 / 6-7) by 14. The Dartmouth (9-19 / 5-9) campaign concluded with a 64-58 victory over last place Columbia (12-16 / 4-10).
