There were 52 comments in the forum for the Elon game. I'm very glad to see so many of you using this new site feature. Keep the momentum going here today, whether you're in the stands or on the couch watching on TV. You must be subscribed and logged in to participate.
Here's the latest collection of videos from various corners of the Princeton basketball family. Above, Elon's highlights from Saturday's loss to the Tigers.
Eight additional videos - including footage of three different Princeton recruits - follow after the jump.
The Daily Princetonian rapidly reviews the Tigers games during the school's holiday break.
Denver (7-7) raced past UT-San Antonio, 75-50. The Pioneers are 3-1 in WAC play.
Bill Carmody had Northwestern (9-6) utilize almost all of every possession at #9 Minnesota. It worked for a while, as the Wildcats trailed 19-18 early into the second half. A 23-5 run over the next seven minutes gave the Golden Gophers comfort the rest of the way.
Leading by six at the break, Oregon State (10-4) was outscored 51-32 in the second half of their conference-opening loss to Oregon.
Around the Ivy League: Cornell (7-9) won 68-60 at American. Florida visited Yale (5-11) and came away with a 79-58 decision.
Future Tiger Amir Bell and East Brunswick moved to 7-0 on the season with a win over Roselle.
Georgetown (10-2) fell 49-48 in their Big East opener at Marquette.
A six game Fairfield (10-6) winning streak concluded with a 71-67 loss at Niagara. Greg Whittington made two of three free throws with the Hoyas behind by three and :02.3 remaining.
Returning to action after the holidays, Mercer (11-4) went down 79-62 at CCRI. Mustafa El Amin scored 25 for the Vikings in defeat.
I had no idea that occasional Princeton J.V. player and pitcher Stephen Elmore was using the NCAA's grad student exemption to play a season of basketball at The Citadel.
Around the Ivy League: Penn (2-11) committed 21 turnovers in their 74-57 loss at La Salle. Columbia (8-5) won 64-52 at Army. Harvard (8-5) destroyed Rice by 30. Colgate made 10-13 three pointers in a 78-62 win at Dartmouth (2-10).
Brown vs. Rhode Island - 7:00 pm ET - OSN
Yale vs. Holy Cross - 7:00 pm ET
Princeton recruit Steven Cook was named to the All-Tournament Team after the conclusion of the mammoth Proviso West Holiday Tournament. Cook's New Trier squad finished sixth out of 32 teams. You can watch the complete sixth place game here.
Fairfield (10-5) won their sixth straight, an impressive 66-45 decision at conference leader Canisius.
Shooting 9-18 from three point range, Denver (6-7) bested Texas State by 11.
#2 Michigan opened on a 20-4 run and had no issues with shorthanded Northwestern (9-5). The Wildcats were without the services of leading scorer Reggie Hearn in the 94-66 loss.
Howie Levy's son Lior had 16 points for Princeton High School, who won at Trenton for the first time in nearly two decades on a three pointer at the buzzer.
Future Tiger Henry Caruso and Serra were tripped up in their first WCAL game of the season.
Richmond (10-5) made 16 three pointers in a 91-68 victory over Air Force.
A great week in Northwestern sports history could become an incredible one if the Wildcats can beat #2 Michigan tonight in the Big Ten opener for both teams.
Fairfield visits conference leader Canisius and Denver hosts Texas State.
Around the Ivy League: Penn (2-10) kept it close at #17 Butler before falling 70-57. Columbia (7-5) held off Colgate, 66-59. Bucknell bested Cornell (6-9) by 16 in Ithaca.
After three straight shared or solo Ivy League Player of the Week nods, Ian Hummer has to settle for the honor roll this time out.
Speaking of Hummer, here's video of he and fellow senior Brendan Connolly facing off in one of the media time out spectator contests during yesterday's women's game at Jadwin versus Drexel. Sadly, no tricycles were involved.
Ahmad Starks scored 21 as Oregon State (10-3) concluded non-conference play with an 84-59 win over UT-Pan American.
Around the Ivy League: Dartmouth (2-9) fell 79-58 at Boston College. Albany evaded Brown (4-7) by a 57-50 final. Despite not trailing for 39:58:90 and leading by as many as 18 points, Harvard lost 70-69 at St. Mary's. Mitchell Young's pair of free throws, fouled on an offensive rebound with just over a second to go, put the Gaels in front for the first time.

There was good conversation in the forum for the Rider game (21 comments) and great conversation for the Bucknell game (36 posts). I'll be providing live updates and commentary here for tonight's contest at Akron. You must be subscribed and logged in to participate. See you there!
You should be able to simultaneously stream video of tonight's tilt for free here.
A few things you should know about the Zips in advance of the opening tip:
1. They're an impressive 109-17 at home the previous nine seasons, including a perfect 5-0 mark this year.
2. In addition to a Top 100 defense, Akron also has the 26th most efficient offense. They shoot the ball very well inside the arc (53.4%) and grab 38.0% of all available offensive rebounds.
3. A lot of that has to do with two players - 7'0" senior center Zeke Marshall and junior forward Demetrius "Tree" Treadwell. Marshall - who averages 13.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.0 blocks - is in the Top 10 nationally in three categories: Block Percentage (15.8 - 8th), Fouls Drawn (7.7 - 7th) and FT Rate (122.7 - 2nd). In Treadwell's last two games he had 15/8 in 23 minutes versus Cleveland State and 18/10 in 22 minutes versus Texas Southern.
4. Akron's best win is over #40 Middle Tennessee in OT at home. Three of their four losses are against Top 100 teams - #96 Detroit, #15 Creighton and to #17 Oklahoma State in OT, a game they let get away at the end of regulation.
5. This game poses a significantly more difficult challenge than Princeton's visits to fellow MAC East foes Buffalo (#166) and Kent State (#137).
I don't believe I've run this piece on Princeton recruit Henry Caruso before.
Future Tiger Steven Cook had another double-double at the Proviso West Holiday Tournament.
A jumper by Towson's Marcus Damas with less than a second remaining in overtime gave the Tigers a one point victory at Oregon State (9-3). The Beavers' apparent game-winning layup at the buzzer was waved off due to an offensive foul.
Down 23 at halftime, Richmond (9-5) rallied to even their game with Davidson but were outscored 9-3 in the contest's final two minutes.
Trailing by 10 with eight minutes left, Fairfield (9-5) closed on a 15-4 run to win their fifth straight. The final was 55-54 Stags at Old Dominion.
Denver (4-7) lost 68-60 in the WAC opener at Louisiana Tech.
Around the Ivy League: Columbia (6-5) made 12 threes in a 69-58 win over Manhattan. Penn (2-9) dropped a 68-63 overtime decision at Wagner. Harvard (7-4) pulled off a 67-62 victory at Cal behind 19 points from Laurent Rivard.

Princeton recruit Steven Cook had 26 for New Trier at the Proviso West Holiday Tournament. Watch Cook with a backdoor dunk here.
It appears Pitt sophomore center Malcolm Gilbert will be joining his brother Marcus at Fairfield.
Now we know why five Penn players were suspended for the Quakers' prior contest.
Around the Ivy League: Brown (4-6) beat Providence at the Pizzitola Sports Center by one. Trailing 67-60 with :55 to go, the Bears hit three straight three pointers, including a shot from Tucker Halpern with just over seven ticks remaining to give his team the lead to stay. Cornell (5-8) discarded winless St. Francis (Pa.), 79-67. Yale (4-8) lost 85-75 at Nevada.
princetonbasketball.com was founded on April 28th, 1998 in an attempt to provide fans of the Princeton Tigers and Ivy League basketball with the best on-line source for up-to-date news and information. We have since expanded to launch a companion site, Georgetown Basketball News.
As these sites have continued to grow we have increased our coverage to include additional teams with Princeton connections - the Richmond Spiders, Denver Pioneers, Oregon State Beavers, Fairfield Stags and Mercer County Community College Vikings - plus former Tigers playing professional baseball and basketball all over the world. This site is not directly affiliated with the Friends of Princeton Basketball, Princeton University or the Princeton athletic department.
