Bill Bradley (shown above in a vintage NBA public service announcement) will present the Commencement Address at Episcopal Collegiate School.

ESPN's Andy Katz reports that Robert Burke may be out as an assistant at Georgetown.

Chris Young was part of a group of San Diego Padres who visited the 14th annual Celebration of Champions' "Torch of Life" relay. The folks at Gaslamp Ball aren't crazy about some of Young's answers in a recent XX Sports Radio interview (.mp3).

Princeton assistant Scott Greenman will coach the United States Youth Basketball-Men's team at the 18th Maccabiah Games this July in Israel.

Chris Young faces the Cubs in Chicago this evening at 8:05 pm ET.

Metuchen guard Steve Rennard, who visited Princeton "a few times" during his recruiting has decided to play basketball at Penn.

Georgetown's Athletic Director has accepted the same position at the University of Delaware. Hoyas basketball coach John Thompson III is quoted about this move.



Monday News:

Princeton recruit Ian Hummer scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the East as his team fell to the West 92-79 in the 2009 Feinberg Academic All-American Classic. Hummer also had four assists, two blocks and three steals.

The San Diego Union Tribune asks Chris Young for his thoughts on the suspension of Manny Ramirez.

Will Venable was ejected in the seventh inning of Portland's 6-5 win over Salt Lake on Friday night. San Diego GM Kevin Towers says Venable is a likely candidate to play right field for the Padres, despite 29 strikeouts in 107 at bats.

Jeff Peterson, the Princeton commitment who eventually opted for Iowa after much vacillation has announced he will transfer to Arkansas.

Another no-decision for Chris Young, who left after six innings with the Padres and Diamondbacks knotted at three. San Diego won 4-3 in 10 innings.

Former Princeton center Jimmy Lane is the newest branch of the Carril coaching tree. Lane has been named head coach at Union County College. I'll be doing a Q&A with Lane on Monday for the site. If you have any questions you want me to ask, let me know.

Chris Young rebounded from his poor showing five days ago with seven innings of quality one run ball against the Dodgers, but San Diego could not provide him with a lead. The Padres fell 2-1 in 10 innings.

Did you know May 1st was officially declared Craig Robinson Day in Chicago? The Oregon State head coach was in the Land of Lincoln to be inducted into the the Mount Carmel Alumni Hall of Fame.

CBS 2 caught up with Robinson while he was in town.

Princeton recruit Ian Hummer will suit up for the East All-Stars on May 9th for the Feinberg Academic All-American Basketball Classic in Ontario, CA.

Chris Young could not get out of the fourth inning at Coors Field, allowing a career-high eight earned runs along with seven stolen bases by Rockies basemen as San Diego fell 12-7.

Oregon State will host Colorado on December 4th as part of the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series.
