The deadline is here and Judson Wallace appears to have been unable to attain an Albanian passport, which would have allowed him to sign with Regal FC Barcelona.

There's a piece on John Rogers in the new Money Magazine.

The Sports Bank slots Fairfield 68th in their countdown of the coming season's top 111 teams.

Blogging the Bracket has more on a stacked Legends Classic undercard.

Big Apple Buckets was compiling New York's best players from last season according to Value Add. Looking at offense only, Kareem Maddox came in fourth.

The site's master list of Princeton Tigers on Twitter has been updated and now includes 37 current and former players.

I hope everyone reading today has recovered from Hurricane Irene. Parts of central New Jersey were hit pretty hard but I know there are regions in far worse shape than this one.



Thursday News:

Northwestern and Denver both announced their 2011-12 non-conference schedules.

The Pioneers will have Rob Lewis in uniform, as the forward was granted an extra season of eligibility after missing last year due to injury.

Georgetown won their final game in China and Fairfield rounded up their Italian tour with a 89-73 win against Fulgor Omegna.

The Stags are #43 in the Hoops Report Top 68 Team Previews.

Monday News:

Continuing to thrive after his demotion, Padres outfielder Will Venable led off yesterday's game with a home run (video) and ended the action with a walk off ninth inning single (video) as San Diego swept Florida, 4-3.

John Thompson III says last week's brawl is behind his team. After a day in Shanghai, the Hoyas easily defeated Liaoning, 91-69.

In Italy it was Fairfield with the 101-70 win over Forli. The Stags' Rakim Sanders had 35 points on 14-15 shooting, nearly equalled on the other side by former Georgetown standout Austin Freeman's 34.



Friday News:

There was a frightening melee in the fourth quarter of yesterday's exhibition between Georgetown and the Bayi Rockets. The Washington Post had a reporter on the scene describing what transpired.

John Thompson III released a statement after the game and today two Hoyas met in Shanghai with members of the team they came to blows with.

Georgetown's first exhibition on their trip to China was played in front of Vice President Joe Biden.

Fairfield won the opening game of their Italian tour 89-45 over Roma Selezione.

Wednesday News:

Will Venable is the San Diego YPC's Young Professional of the Month.

As most were getting up on the east coast, Georgetown was playing their first exhibition in China, a 98-81 Hoyas victory over the Shanxi Brave Dragons. Vice President Joe Biden attended the game and spoke to the team in the locker room beforehand.

Not much to take away from Mitch Henderson's appearance on ESPNU, but my ears perked up a touch when he said some of the incoming Princeton freshmen will be "special for us."

John Thompson III and Sydney Johnson are both scheduled to be on with Andy Katz today at 5:00 pm ET.

I like what Fairfield is doing with the release of their 2011-12 non-conference schedule today. Each game will be revealed on the team's Twitter every 10 minutes starting at 1:00 pm ET with an exclusive discussion of the schedule following on the school's Facebook page.



Tuesday News:

Monday News:

Georgetown has arrived in China and Fairfield leaves for Italy today.

Don't forget that Wildcats head coach Bill Carmody will be on ESPNU with Andy Katz today at 5:00 pm ET.

A guard from upstate New York picked Buffalo over "The Citadel, Princeton, Cornell, Rhode Island and Colgate."

Richmond received a commitment from a forward out of Texas.

Friday News:

It is official that Princeton's game at Rider this season will be the Tigers' first-ever visit to Alumni Gymnasium.

The Dyckman team with Cornell alum Jeff Foote in the middle (matched up versus Georgetown's Roy Hibbert) and Pawel Buczak coming off the bench won the Nike Pro City crown over defending champs The Franchise, 110-88.

Buczak, called "The European One" and "The Malnourished One" by the public address announcer, scored seven points on 3-4 shooting, including a big three point shot from the right wing in the fourth quarter as The Franchise attempted to rally.

Friday News:

The Princeton Athletic Department has posted interviews with Brendan Connolly (.mp3) and Will Barrett (.mp3). Both juniors update what they've been working on to improve over the summer.

Another member of the class of 2013, Ian Hummer, was involved in a triple overtime game during the Kenner League quarterfinals. Hummer's Hoop Magic team eventually lost 78-71.

ESPN revealed that Fairfield will kick off Old Spice Classic play versus Arizona State on November 24th. There's video of Sydney Johnson talking with Andy Katz about the tournament.

Earlier that same week Georgetown meets Kansas in the first round of the 2011 Maui Invitational. The Hoyas will also host Memphis on December 22nd.



Wednesday News:

Almost a year to the day after initially committing to Princeton, there's a new profile of incoming Tiger freshman Denton Koon.

The 14-Game Tournament has a stellar, well-calculated piece on the past 15 years in the Ivy League and what those numbers mean for the future.

Cornell released their 2011-12 schedule, which confirms that Princeton shall open conference play with four straight road games.

A commercial photographer from Seattle attended Princeton's graduation to see his nephew Kareem Maddox. The pictures he took beautifully capture the experience.

Northwestern is asking fans for feedback on four different new basketball court designs. My vote goes to anything but the all-purple court.

Sydney Johnson is trying to work out an early visit from former Fairfield coach Ed Cooley. A proposed matchup between the Stags and Providence would come on November 14.

Douglas Davis, Will Barrett and Stomp Off won their final game at the DelCo Pro-Am to sew up the sixth seed in a playoff tournament that begins tonight. GoodAfterNoonan did not make the cut, but in one of their last contests Tom Noonan scored 21 points.

Over the weekend Stomp Off lost to former New York Knick and Los Angeles Clipper Mardy Collins' T.Y.G.T.A.L team. It sounds like Davis was well-defended by Collins throughout.



Tuesday News:

Princeton's T.J. Bray (above) and Jimmy Sherburne are teammates back home at the Milwaukee Summer Pro-Am. Their squad currently holds a 1-3 record. Box scores for each contest:
