Princeton recruit Steven Cook went nuts (in a good way) for New Trier in the Class 4A Glenbrook North Sectional final.

Central Catholic came from behind to top Jesuit in the OSAA 6A boys semis despite 18 from future Tiger Khyan Rayner.

Serra never recovered from the foul trouble of Henry Caruso in their Northern California Open Division playoff loss to Sheldon.

Fairfield (18-14) got by St. Peter's in the MACC Tournament. Next up for the Stags is second seed Rider tonight.

A win in their regular season finale against Syracuse gives Georgetown the Big East regular season title. Elsewhere Oregon State plays at Colorado, Richmond hosts Duquesne on Senior Night and Denver goes for a share of the WAC crown when they host Louisiana Tech (blizzard permitting).

Around the Ivy League: An 8-0 run in the final minute propelled Harvard (17-9 / 10-3) to a 56-51 home win over Columbia (12-15 / 4-9). Miles Cartwright scored the final eight Penn (9-20 / 6-6) points, including a pair of free throws with less than a second remaining to top Brown (12-15 / 6-7) by two. Dartmouth (8-19 / 4-9) got a career high 28 from Gabas Maldunas in their 76-62 victory versus Cornell (13-17 / 5-8).

Behind 21 from Princeton recruit Steven Cook, New Trier advanced to the Class 4A Glenbrook North Sectional final.

It was a smooth start for Chris Young in Spring Training.

Northwestern (13-17) fell behind 12-0 versus Penn State in Evanston, ultimately going down 66-59.

It was the 100th win at Denver (20-8) for Joe Scott. The Pioneers' 84-55 rout of UT-Arlington combined with New Mexico State ending Louisiana Tech's winning streak means that Saturday's UD/LT tilt is now for a share of the WAC regular season title.

Oregon State (13-17) lost 72-61 at Utah.

On the first day of MAAC Tournament action, Fairfield faces St. Peter's.

The majority of Princeton's 2013 recruiting class was in action last night.

Peter Miller and Northfield Mount Hermon took home the National Prep Championship with a win over Brewster Academy.

Khyan Rayner led Jesuit to the Class 6A boys’ basketball tournament semifinals.

Atlantic City ended East Brunswick's season by two in the NJSIAA Group 4 semis. Amir Bell had seven points and six rebounds in the loss.

The high school career of Spencer Weisz concluded as Seton Hall Prep fell to St. Peter's Prep 63-57 in the NJSIAA North Jersey, Non-Public A final. Weisz scored 19 before fouling out.

The Town Topics has pieces on the Tigers' victories over Harvard and Dartmouth.

Jeff Green's game winner for the Celtics came off a play suggested by Armond Hill.

An 11 game Georgetown (23-5) winning streak ended 67-57 at Villanova.

Tied with 3:19 to go, #19 VCU went on a 9-0 run to top Richmond (17-13).

The Daily Princetonian, the Crimson and the Dartmouth have pieces on the weekend's games, as does Princeton Alumni Weekly.

A key for the Tigers the rest of the way is offensive adaptability.

Fairfield (17-14) fell 73-60 at Marist to close their regular season. The Stags will play St. Peter's in the first round of the MAAC Tournament on Friday. A full bracket can be viewed here.

Seton Hall Prep rode a career high from Princeton recruit Spencer Weisz into the NJSIAA Non-Public, North A tournament final. The championship will be played Wednesday night at Rutgers.

Future Tiger Henry Caruso and Serra went down to Mitty in the Central Coast Section Open Division title game.

Richmond (17-12) fell 78-74 at Dayton.

Tied with 2:55 left in the Region XIX tournament final, Mercer (21-10) was outscored 10-4 the rest of the way by Essex. Mustafa El-Amin had 24 for the Vikings as their season came to a close.

An eighth straight Denver (19-8) victory gave the Pioneers second place in the WAC to themselves, topping New Mexico State by six.

Otto Porter had 28 points as Georgetown (23-4) took down Rutgers, 64-51.

Today Fairfield closes MAAC regular season play at Marist.

Around the Ivy League: Penn (8-20 / 5-6) led the entire way versus Harvard (17-9 / 9-3) but a landscape-altering result was not secure until Christian Webster's three point shot came up short of the rim at the horn with the Crimson trailing by three. Yale (12-17 / 6-6) won 79-70 at beguiling Cornell (13-16 / 5-7). A Tucker Halpern three point shot at the buzzer gave Brown (12-14 / 6-6) the 61-58 decision against Columbia (11-14 / 3-8).

Dartmouth (7-18 / 3-8) heads to Jadwin Gym on the heels of just their sixth win at The Palestra, 69-64 over Penn (7-20 / 4-6).

Mercer (21-9) advanced to their third Region XIX championship game in the past four years with a 91-55 win over Lackawanna. Filip Sekulic had 26 in the victory. The Vikings will play Essex for the title on Saturday at 5:00 pm ET. Bookmark this link to stream the game live.

In a rather similar script to their meeting in Columbus, Northwestern (13-16) led Ohio State by one with less than four minutes remaining before the Buckeyes closed on a 15-4 spurt.

Oregon rallied past Oregon State (13-16) in the second half, 85-75.

After Harvard/Princeton wraps, Fairfield at Manhattan will be broadcast on ESPNU.

Big Apple Buckets has five thoughts from the Tigers' victory over Columbia.

Princeton recruit Spencer Weisz and Seton Hall Prep came out on top in the Essex County Tournament finals.

Otto Porter was sensational for Georgetown (21-4), scoring a career high 33 points and silencing a crowd of 35,012 as the Hoyas won their final trip to the Carrier Dome as a member of the Big East 57-46 over Syracuse. Hoya Prospectus is happy to crunch numbers that equalled an end to the Orange's 38 game home winning streak.

Albany topped Fairfield (17-12) by eight.

Richmond (16-11) came out on top 72-55 at Fordham.

A shot from Ahmad Starks did not drop at the buzzer as Cal escaped 60-59 at Oregon State (13-15).

Denver (18-8) made it seven straight, 63-57 at Northern Iowa.

Purdue hosts Northwestern in the day's only game involving a Carril Cradle squad.

Around the Ivy League: Harvard (17-7 / 9-1) outscored Yale (11-16 / 5-5) by nine in the final eight minutes of a 72-66 Crimson victory. Check this out: Columbia (11-13 / 3-7) went without a field goal the final 15:17 of the second half and still beat Penn (7-19 / 4-5) by a 58-41 final. The Lions were 2-20 from the field, 19-22 at the line as the Quakers made 16.7% of their own attempts. Brown (10-14 / 4-6) topped Dartmouth (6-18 / 2-8) in Providence, 59-50.

33 points from D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera was the highest scoring output by a Hoya freshman under John Thompson III as Georgetown (20-4) won their eighth straight 90-66 over DePaul. DSR shot 10-12 from the field, 5-6 behind the arc and 8-10 at the line.

Scoring remained an issue for Northwestern (13-14), who went down 69-41 against #19 Wisconsin.

Princeton recruit Amir Bell and East Brunswick advanced to the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament final.

Tomorrow night Columbia must account for the versatility of Ian Hummer.

Sydney Johnson wanted Malcolm Gilbert to play for him at Princeton and will get that chance at Fairfield now that Gilbert has transferred in from Pitt.

For the first time since their four overtime affair, Oregon State plays Stanford.
