After an exceptionally frustrating 30+ hour ordeal where our service provider caused numerous databases to go screwy and took this site's functionality down to "non-existant," everything appears to be working as it should.
Phew.
I apologize for a lack of updates in the back half of this week, but a jam-packed Saturday News awaits subscribers tomorrow.
For your patience, enjoy a photo you almost certainly have never seen before: Gabe Lewullis, Chris Doyal and Steve Goodrich after the final buzzer at the RCA Dome taken by the staff photographer of the Indianapolis Star for their March 15, 1996 edition.
Chris Young has been tentatively cleared to pitch on Thursday for San Diego AAA affiliate Portland.
Will Venable was 0-3 at the plate last night, striking out three times. The Padres fell 10-1 at Florida.
Northwestern is still in the mix for a point guard from Las Vegas.
It was 15 years ago this week that Gabe Lewullis chose Princeton.
Congratulations to our own Stephen Goldsmith, who had a picture from this site selected as one of last season's most memorable photos by College Hoops Journal.

Mercer (6-8) shut down Manor, 56-35. Uros Kovacevic had 15 for the Vikings.
The Princeton Packet ran a story on the Princeton/St. Joe's game.
There's a Daily Princetonian article about the Tigers' last three games that has a pair of inexplicably incorrect descriptions of how the Maine and Wagner matchups concluded.
On this date in 1995, Gabe Lewullis scored 37 points for Central Catholic.
Around the Ivy League: Brown (7-5) rallied from four points down with 21 seconds left to play, topping Army 79-78. Columbia (6-7) handled Lehigh, 74-64. Yale (4-7) beat Portland at home, 88-70. Penn (4-9) returned from Florida winless, falling 88-62 at Miami.
Princeton honored the Ivy League champion 1997-98 Tigers team at halftime of the Manhattan game. Pictured from left to right are: team manager Mike McDonnell, James Mastaglio, Gabe Lewullis, Chris Kilburn-Peterson and Darren Hite.
In the above photo you can see Kilburn-Peterson, Hite, Mitch Henderson, Sean Gregory and C.J. Chapman.
Not pictured, but also on hand for the celebration: Brian Earl, assistant coach Howie Levy, Phil Belin, Terence Rozier-Byrd and team manager Corey Riley.
Are you going to be in Manchester, New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon? If so, you can see Princeton recruits Max Huc and Patrick Saunders in action as Brewster Academy plays New Hampton in the Chris Polak Classic.
Around the Ivy League: Harvard (4-7) fell to the LIU Blackbirds 88-77.
As part of the Ivy League's 50th anniversary celebration, this week's feature checks in with former Princeton standout Gabe Lewullis.
The win turned out to be bittersweet, as Carril announced his retirement in the locker room.
"It was kind of chaotic," remembers Lewullis. "We get back to the locker room and everyone is high on life. Carril comes in, doesn't say a word, just goes to the chalkboard and writes down: 'I'm retiring.' It was dead silent. We didn't know what to do so we just started clapping for him."
On Tuesday, less than a day after Young tossed seven scoreless innings in a victory over San Francisco and less than a month since Towers and Babby met, the 27-year-old had agreed to a four-year contract worth $14.5 million, including a includes a $500,000 signing bonus and a $8.5 million club option for 2011.
He'll receive $750,000 this season, $2.5 million in 2008, $4.5 million in 2009 and $6.25 million in 2010. The deal covers his arbitration-eligible years as well as his first year of free agency.
In recruiting news, there's a tiny update on the Jeff Peterson saga and news that Bobby Foley will be playing on the North squad in this Saturday's North/South All-Star game.
[Peterson] wants to meet with coach Lickliter before making his decision, but Iowas definitely still in the picture, Jones said. He likes the Iowa campus, players and the AD. He likes Saint Louis because hes from, Springfield (Mo.), and hes got the academic thing going for him at Princeton, so he cant go wrong whichever school he chooses.
princetonbasketball.com was founded on April 28th, 1998 in an attempt to provide fans of the Princeton Tigers and Ivy League basketball with the best on-line source for up-to-date news and information. We have since expanded to launch a companion site, Georgetown Basketball News.
As these sites have continued to grow we have increased our coverage to include additional teams with Princeton connections - the Richmond Spiders, Denver Pioneers, Oregon State Beavers, Fairfield Stags and Mercer County Community College Vikings - plus former Tigers playing professional baseball and basketball all over the world. This site is not directly affiliated with the Friends of Princeton Basketball, Princeton University or the Princeton athletic department.
