There's a must-read profile of Sydney Johnson in the new Princeton Alumni Weekly. Several tidbits in this piece I'd never seen reported elsewhere before.
USA Today has a feature on Georgetown recruit Greg Monroe.
Spent from 7:45 am on at the Maui Invitational, but I had a chance to take some pictures in the early morning on a brief exploratory drive and I later tried to capture a few details of the setting for today's games.
A 31-4 game-opening Duke run soured Princeton's debut in the EA Sports 2007 Maui Invitational. The Blue Devils coasted to an impressive 83-61 victory behind 21 points and 12 rebounds from freshman forward Kyle Singler. Singler scored Duke's first eight points as the three-time Maui Invitational champions raced by the entrants from the Ivy League.
If the guy watching "This Is Marshall" one seat in front of me on my flight from Los Angeles to Hawaii will most likely stand up as my least favorite sight of the trip, this might be my favorite small moment so far: While Chaminade and Marquette are getting ready for the first game of the 2007 EA Sports Maui Invitational, one floor below the gym the Lahaina branch of the Motor Vehicles & Licensing Division, located between the Media Room and Will Call in the Civic Center, is still hard at work.
