Tigers head coach Mitch Henderson and princetonbasketball.com editor Jon Solomon met courtside at Jadwin Gym this afternoon to record a conversation.

Henderson and Solomon reviewed the Tigers' victory over Lafayette in detail and discussed how Princeton utilized their week off after playing six times in 12 days. The pair concluded by previewing the Tigers' next two games versus staunch defensive foes Rutgers and Drexel.

Princeton travels 22 miles north to the Rutgers Athletic Center on Wednesday night as they face off with the Scarlet Knights. To prep you on this meeting of in-state rivals, I exchanged emails with college basketball writer Brendan Prunty from the Star Ledger for the latest edition of Know! Your! Foe!.

Prunty is also the host of the recently launched Jersey Score podcast, which I'll be appearing on shortly.

Rutgers: Past, Present, Future.

The 118th meeting between Princeton and Rutgers takes place on Wednesday night at the RAC, a floor the Tigers have not won on since 1999.

As we start our build-up to this inter-state rivalry game I recommend the following lengthy pieces, which are all included after the jump: A recap of last year's OT win, the historical epic "Rutgers in the 2000s: A Decade of Dismay" and a new review of Princeton's '99 victory versus the Scarlet Knights, which also came in overtime.

Oregon State (6-1) continued their strong start with a 71-46 win over Montana.

Derek Needham and Rakim Sanders equally split 38 points as Fairfield (5-4) won their second conference game in as many tries, 68-59 versus Canisius.

In the words of Bill Carmody, his Northwestern (7-1) team got "smacked pretty good." #7 Baylor blitzed the Wildcats 69-41, holding them to 24% shooting for the game.

Around the Ivy League: Harvard (8-0) remained undefeated with an 80-70 win over Seattle. Making 14 more three pointers, Columbia (5-4) wrapped up a successful West Coast trip 78-56 over La Sierra.

Denver (6-1) downed Texas Southern, 62-46.

Mercer (1-8) lost 68-60 to Del Tech Stanton. Flip Seculic had 18 for the Vikings in defeat.

They're now subscription-only, but enough games have been played that Ken Pomeroy has added individual player stats for 2011-12. Ian Hummer is in the top 100 nationally in three statistical categories.

The highest-ranked non-conference opponent in 22 years visits Welsh-Ryan Arena this afternoon when Northwestern hosts #7 Baylor.

A two game swing in western New York concludes for Fairfield with a game at Canisius.

Oregon State opens a five game homestand versus Montana.

Around the Ivy League: Greg Mangano recorded his third double-double of the season as Yale (5-2) bested Vermont, 68-52. Brown (4-5) fell 75-53 at Iowa. Cornell (3-5) triumphed over Lehigh in overtime by two. Penn (4-5) could not climb all the way out of a deep halftime hole, losing to Villanova 73-65. Making 12 of their 17 three point attempts Columbia (4-4) won again out west, 72-57 against North Texas.
