Judson Wallace is out of action following hernia surgery.
Will Venable continued his amazing August, swatting home run number 20 (video) in a San Diego Padres victory. A statistical analysis of Venable's season shows that he may finally have found his groove
Craig Robinson addressed myriad topics at an informal Oregon State press conference.
Fresh on the heels of Mike LeBlanc committing to Princeton comes word that 6'0" point guard Aaron Young from Virginia Episcopal School has pledged to the Tigers. Young reportedly chose Princeton over Brown, Fairfield and Loyola of Maryland.
While I'm emailing his high school coach for quotes, watch a full game video here.
Full 2012-13 season highlights for VES includes plenty of Young's work. He's wearing #2 in the clips. More videos after the jump.
On the other end of the spectrum, see Craig Robinson as part of the "10 Worst Dressed Coaches in College Basketball." Personally, I appreciate the no tie look!
Thirteen Ivy League coaches were asked "Which six players in the conference would you most want on your team, regardless of position?" Just one Princeton returnee was a given response.
Will Venable was named the National League Player of the Week for the stretch ending August 18. A simple approach allowed Venable to become a complete player during his hitting streak, which ended at 15 games.
On Friday night San Diego came from six runs down to beat the Chicago Cubs. In addition to a two run triple off the top of the center field wall, Venable hammered a home run (video) to send the Padres in front late.
Going 9-22 at the plate after a lone hitless performance, Venable's season average has risen all the way to .272. He went deep again (video) on Saturday, HR number 19 for the former Princeton player.
Mike Brennan and American have released their 2013-14 schedule.
I'm traveling in Europe until the weekend, so I can't give this news the full attention it deserves but 6'6" New Hampton School forward Mike LeBlanc has committed to Princeton, joining point guard Amir Bell in the Tigers' 2014 class.
LeBlanc reportedly chose Princeton over offers from Rice, Yale, Brown, New Hampshire and Binghamton.
Some summer highlights can be found above with more links and a proper profile to follow once I'm back in New Jersey. There are a number of full game videos to tide you over here.
Will Venable has a career long fifteen game hitting streak going, a stretch that's included such highlights as four hits on Saturday and a walk off home run (plus subsequent double dousing) versus the Mets yesterday. Venable has the fourth-highest batting average of any player in baseball since the All-Star break.

Dick Kazmaier passed away last week at the age of 82. Not only did Kazmaier's jersey number inspire Bill Bradley to don 42 but Kazmaier also earned a pair of varsity letters playing basketball. He scored 88 career points including a career high 13 against Dartmouth in 1951.

princetonbasketball.com was founded on April 28th, 1998 in an attempt to provide fans of the Princeton Tigers and Ivy League basketball with the best on-line source for up-to-date news and information. We have since expanded to launch a companion site, Georgetown Basketball News.
As these sites have continued to grow we have increased our coverage to include additional teams with Princeton connections - the Richmond Spiders, Denver Pioneers, Oregon State Beavers, Fairfield Stags and Mercer County Community College Vikings - plus former Tigers playing professional baseball and basketball all over the world. This site is not directly affiliated with the Friends of Princeton Basketball, Princeton University or the Princeton athletic department.
