Help find a laptop stolen at the Palestra last night.

Following the Princeton/Penn game at the Palestra, someone took the laptop bag of Soft Prezel Logic writer Jonathan Tannenwald.

The bag (which looks like the image above) was left underneath seat one, row 10, section 215 - the first row of bleacher seating in that section.

It is a black Eagle Creek bag with a light-blue Amtrak luggage tag on one of the handles.

If you saw the bag, saw someone with the bag, or happen to have the bag, please get in touch.

Jonathan in a good guy who does a lot for area hoops and he deserves better than this.

Just in. Harrison Gaines has just notified Penn that he will be transferring. This is a tremendous blow for Penn's program. Gaines was one of the team's leading scorers. He made a statement that he wanted to go to a team where "he had confidence in the team's leadership. " I don't know if he meant the coach or the upperclassmen. If the Penn board is any indication of what the Penn AD is thinking, Miller may get one more year to turn things around if he's lucky.

David,

Thanks for sharing this. I had not heard the news, which comes as a shock (especially since I am currently watching a tape of last night's Princeton/Penn game and Gaines just gave the Quakers the lead down the stretch).

Here's an article from the Daily Pennsylvanian:

Surprised to see Gaines say that he wants to play for a "fast-paced" program, as Penn's tempo is fastest in the Ivy league and in the top 100 nationally!

Everybody wants to RUN! (and be on television).

There was a nice article in the Wall Street Journal a few weeks ago about Roy William's success recruiting, based to a significant extent on his promise to run at every opportunity.

And I remember Brian Zubek mentioning how much he wanted to be on television a lot, when he chose Duke.

Both of these issues impact on Princeton's recruiting quite a bit, obviously.

Rodney,

I agree with you on recruits desire to run. But not on the lack of TV coverage. Princeton is a media darling as far as mid-majors go. When Princeton wins they are one of the most popular teams in the country and are on TV all the time. ESPN loves the Tigers. Think about how many more times Princeton has been on national TV than Penn. How often do you see any of the other Ivy's on TV? Never, unless they make the tournament.
