Good afternoon. We have arrived in Columbus for the season-opener.
The rest of the crowd appears to be taking their time.
In the first of today's four games the Fighting Palindromes of IUPUI (pictured) defeated Alabama A&M 86-47 in a game that featured a remarkable twenty-seven turnovers for the losing team. That's roughly one turnover for each person in the stands.
The second quarterfinal was even less competitive and watched by even fewer people, but it was just as turnover-friendly. Kent State overmatched South Dakota State 105-50, with the visitors from the Mount Rushmore state giving the ball away twenty-four times. Kent State shot 63% from the field on the way to victory.
