Montgomery High School and Rutgers graduate Brett MacConnell has been hired as Princeton's new Director of Basketball Operations, replacing the departed Kendrick Saunders.
MacConnell previously held the same position at St. Peter's for one season and has also coached at Holy Family University and Delaware Valley College. While enrolled at Rutgers he was a manager all four years for the men's basketball team.
In 2009 MacConnell made the Northstar Basketball list of "Local Soon-to-be Division I Assistant Coaches."
Also of interest, it was MacConnell who tipped the Siena coaching staff to speedy guard Evan Hymes, who torched Princeton in Albany last season.
