Northwestern gets a big win over Stanford at home. At 9-1, I think they might crack the top 25. It's like watching Princeton's teams from Carmody's tenure at Princeton. It's amazing how he can run the same stuff year after year. Only the personnel changes. The guard brings the ball over center court, does a spin reversal (like many Princeton guards - especially ElNokali comes to mind), do a weave out front, pass to the posting center and then pass inside and out until they get a layup or a three point shot. Today Northwestern did not shoot well, but played a smothering 1-3-1 zone defense and forced 24 Stanford turnovers. I wish Princeton would schedule Northwestern. It would be a great game. I think Brown played them and beat them a few years ago.

David,

You are right. Brown beat Northwestern by six in 2007.

I am impressed with how well Northwestern spreads the court. They make it look like the floor is 94 feet wide at times.
