Georgetown (8-1) was sluggish but still defeated Mount St. Mary's, 69-58.
Denver (4-6) won its third straight, 66-55 over Colorado State. There are some interesting quotes from Joe Scott in Associated Press article about how backing off his players has led to them playing better.
Oregon State (4-5) showed how far they have come since their season opener, as they throttled Howard 21-2 out of the gate and exacted their revenge to the tune of 90-54. The Beavers connected on a school record 14 three pointers.
Northwestern (7-2) rallied to within one against Stanford with 1:42 left to play, but the Cardinal hit a three point shot as the shot clock expired that gave them enough breathing room to pull out the 65-59 victory.
Princeton recruit Mack Darrow scored 24 points in Barrington's overtime loss to Woodstock.
Around the Ivy League: Cornell (5-5) outscored LaSalle by 20 in the second half of a 79-70 Big Red victory. Columbia (3-6) lost 64-52 at Madison Square Garden to Virginia Tech.
