Friday News:

T.J. Bray is the focus of the Princeton Packet's piece on the Rider win. I'm agreeing more and more with Bob Nuse's Kyle Wente comparison after every game.

The Daily Princetonian talks to several players about the Tigers' trip to Northeastern.

The third person narrative-obsessed TigerBlog writes about an evening spent in Lawrenceville.

Kareem Maddox was a perfect 4-4 from the floor in Landstede Basketbal's rout of Rotterdam.

Don't believe I've posted these extended Elon/Princeton highlights previously.

Princeton recruit Mike Washington, Jr. scored 11 points in Oak Harbor's victory over Lynnwood.

Oregon State (8-2) throttled Howard, 93-72. The Beavers are off to their best start in 14 years.

Opening on a 23-3 run, Northwestern (8-1) had no trouble with Texas Southern.

Below you'll find John Sadak's call of Mack Darrow's shot to beat the Broncs:

Princeton at Rider is available via Xfinity's On Demand service until December 28th. You can find it under Sports ->The Comcast Network -> College Sports. Enjoy.

Re buzzer beaters, in 2002 we beat Columbia at Levien 49-48 with a shot from the top of the key after Columbia's defence broke down. In 1948 we beat Syracuse 56-55 at Dillon when Captain George Lawry sank a running 35 footer seconds after they took the lead. We lost a buzzer beater at Jadwin to Lasalle 63-62 when one of their guards sank a running 30 footer after we had taken the lead. Also, on what would have been one of our greatest wins in bb history, I believe UCLA's 70-69 winning shot when we almost ended John Wooden's winning streak in the 69-70 season ( the Petrie-John Hummer team) was a buzzer beater. Pete Carril would surely remember.

I believe Mike Bechtold's shot at Columbia came with some time left on the clock. Bechtold got free on almost a "swinging gate" set of screens.

Those are some great memories you've added.

I always thought it was Lionel Simmons who won the game for La Salle but my research yesterday tells me it was Tim Legler. Back iron, ball went straight up in the air and fell back with no time left.

Just finished the Princeton/Rider game on OnDemand. Well, most of it. Be forewarned the broadcast cuts out with under two minutes to go in OT.

Mack Darrow's dry wit is becoming an additional highlight this season. From the Prince:

“It was more a sense of relief than anything else,” junior forward Mack Darrow said of his game-winning three-pointer against Rider. “It got [junior forward] Ian Hummer to notice me, though, which has always been a dream of mine.”

Most Tiger players kind of hide their personalities until after they graduate. Maybe Coach Henderson's more open style is rubbing off a little bit on Mack.

I like TJ Bray as much as the next guy, but nobody--nobody--compares to Kyle Wente.
